The Sprite Spark Parks Project is a multi-year commitment to restore play environments where teens, families and neighbors can get outside and be active. The first initiative of the program, which focuses on basketball courts, kicked off in February. Since then, people across the country have logged on to sprite.com and facebook.com/Sprite to nominate local courts for refurbishment.

Decatur's own N.H. Scott III Recreation Center, located at 2230 Tilson Road, is a finalist for the Sprite Spark Parks Project contest! New rims, backboards, resurfacing, lights, benches and art installations created by local artists to inspire play will be awarded to the the 21 finalists that receive the most votes by June 10.
